Designing AI for Better Collaboration
Designing AI for Better Collaboration
Designing AI for Better Collaboration

Overview
For my MSc Human-Computer Interaction dissertation at UCL, I explored how digital whiteboarding tools support or hinder early-stage collaborative brainstorming in online settings.
I conducted a mixed-methods study using a survey, interviews and contextual walkthroughs to understand how people generate ideas, organise whiteboards, collaborate with others and respond to emerging AI features.
The research identified opportunities for AI-supported collaboration tools that help teams find ideas again, reduce friction in messy boards and support creative thinking without taking control away from users.
Role
UX Researcher and Interaction Designer
Supervisor
Prof. Yvonne Rogers, UCL Interaction Centre
Methods
Survey, semi-structured interviews, contextual walkthroughs, thematic analysis, concept design
Outcome
Research-led AI interaction concepts for improving search, sense-making and collaboration in digital whiteboarding.
